Marti's Crayon

About 6 weeks ago my wife, Marti, decided to give BMX a shot and immediately fell in love with it. It wasn't long before she decided she wanted to build a bike of her own. We looked around for a frame that would work well for her and came across this a really nice Terrible One SFA. It was in excellent condition and in a somewhat rare army green but Marti wanted to put a little spin on it.

After about a dozen different powder samples, Marti decided to go with pearled turquoise she chose from Prismatic Powders. She chose the color by comparing the samples with the Madera Party Paint components she had also selected. We picked up the frame from Precision Powdercoating yesterday and were really impressed with how well it came out.
We still have several parts to get but the build is finally getting started. We're hoping to have all of the parts in within the next few weeks. It's definitely going to be a colorful build, hence the reason she's calling it her Crayon. I'm going to try something different and add to this blog entry as we make progress.
Until next time, cheers.
