When I first started riding again earlier this year, I didn't have the confidence to drop in on the bowls at Bear Branch Skatepark. I would lower my bike down using the step and then ride around inside. I would often travel to other parks and do the same thing. I was at Kasmiersky Skatepark in Conroe, TX when I finally found the courage and had developed enough skill to finally start dropping in. The bowl there is only 3 or 4 feet deep in the shallow area, but it was a game changer for me. That little bit of confidence created some momentum for me and has continued to build up over the past few months with each session. Now, I drop in here without any trouble. I'm to the point where I can fire off into it and consistently get a foot or two of air off the coping while riding.
It's not much but it's progress and I enjoy the shit out of it.
